Sometimes there’s a moment when you think you know what’s going on and then one of your characters has a FIT and throws your whole timeline and outline out of whack. Yeah, that’s what happened to me this weekend. On the plus side, I’ve written 20,000 words in four days! (41k words total for anyone keeping track.) I keep thinking, this must be what writing is like for Stephen King, who wrote Carrie in just a couple of weeks, if I recall correctly. The working title has changed as well, as the characters have expressed themselves and made this story their own. Once I figure out what it’s called, I’ll commission its cover.
